This project involved creating a new visual brand language for TravelWisconsin.com - the official website of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. The new theme would focus on the Parks co-existing with their neighboring cities, towns and municipalities - and closer to residents of these areas than they might realize. Emphasis would be placed on increasing awareness of the proximity of the Parks, and encouraging people in near-by communities to visit and support them, each being an integral part of the natural landscape. The project involved researching numerous Wisconsin state parks and their top attractions - sights, activities, landmarks - in order to showcase a number of the parks in a print brochure. Each page of the brochure vignettes a photograph of a different park highlighting main tourist attractions and includes hand-drawn illustrations of the near-by community to tie in with the theme. A duotone color palette helps to communicate some nostalgia along with neighborly warmth amidst a sometimes cool climate.
